Recess Policy

The following is not addressed in the student handbook:

If a student is able to attend school, he or she will also go outside for recess, weather permitting. Students may be excused from outdoor recess with a doctor’s excuse. If a child is not to go outside after an illness, an excuse from a physician, with the dates specified, is required. With a physician’s excuse, a student may go to the nurse’s office during recess.

With a note from the parent requesting limited physical activity during outdoor recess, a student will go outside with classmates and can remain on a bench. Due to supervision concerns they may not remain in the classroom.
